Hi! I'm Rivka Chakak.

(Yep, that's my husband in the picture.) I grew up in LA, with ba'alei teshuva parents. That means I went through conservative, then modern orthodox, and then Bais Yaakov schooling, as my family became stronger in their yiddishkeit. So, I'm familiar with all types of target audiences and know how to talk their language.

After high school I made Aliya with my family, went to Israeli seminary, (got a Bachelor's equivalent,) and married an Israeli! Yep, I speak to the kids in Hebrew only.

So, that makes me (almost) at mother tongue level in Hebrew, too. 

That's why I love translating Hebrew to English and sometimes even English to Hebrew- since I know the lingo of all types of Americans, be they frum, charedi, dati, or "general", and I also know the lingo of charedi and dati Israelis.
